Pressing & Defensive Organisation

Explore pressing structures, defensive blocks and opposition behaviours using professional match examples.

Week 3- Set Play Analysis

Understand how analysts evaluate attacking and defensive set plays, identify trends and support coaching decisions.

Week 4- Communicating Insights

Learn how to transform observations into reports, presentations and impactful feedback that coaches can use immediately.

Former Head of Performance Analysis at West Ham United and former Head of Analysis at Ipswich Town, Jamie now leads The Football Analyst consultancy, supporting clubs and developing the next generation of performance analysts through practical education and applied practice.

Programme Lead for the MSc Sports Performance Analysis at the University of Chichester, Director of ASPA & former Head of Performance Analysis at Crystal Palace FC. Louis has designed several degree programmes, including the UK's first integrated MSci in Football Science, & has over 20 years' experience across professional football & higher education.
