CPD & SHORT COURSE ENDORSEMENT

Introduction

ASPA is committed to maintaining high standards in sports performance analysis education & professional development. This framework outlines the criteria and review process for endorsing CPD & short-course learning opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for ASPA endorsement, the course must:

  • Be relevant to sports performance analysis.
  • Be delivered by a recognized institution, organization, or industry professional.
  • Align with ASPA’s mission, values, and professional standards.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following details:

  • Course Overview: Objectives, syllabus, and delivery method (online, in-person, hybrid).
  • Instructor Credentials: Qualifications, industry experience, and teaching expertise.
  • Target Audience: Level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and intended participants (coaches, analysts, students, etc.).
  • Learning Outcomes: Clearly defined, measurable competencies gained upon completion.
  • Assessment Methods: How learning is evaluated (quizzes, practical tasks, final projects).
  • Duration & Workload: Length of the course and expected hours of engagement.
  • Accreditation & Certification: Whether CPD points or recognized certification is provided.

Review Process

The review process includes:

  • Initial Screening: Ensuring the application meets basic eligibility criteria.
  • Content Evaluation: Assessing syllabus, learning outcomes, & instructional quality.
  • Instructor Review: Verifying the qualifications & expertise of course facilitators.
  • Industry Relevance: Checking alignment with current trends & needs in sports performance analysis.
  • Delivery & Engagement: Evaluating the course’s interactive elements, accessibility, & learner support.
  • Assessment & Certification: Ensuring proper evaluation methods & certification validity.
  • Feedback & Improvement: Reviewing past participant feedback (if available) or conducting a pilot assessment.

Decision & Endorsement

  • Approval: If the course meets all criteria, it is endorsed and listed as an ASPA-approved CPD opportunity.
  • Conditional Approval: If minor improvements are needed, feedback is provided for adjustments.
  • Rejection: If the course does not meet ASPA’s standards, feedback is given with reasons for non-endorsement.

Post-Endorsement Monitoring

  • Regular quality assurance reviews to ensure continued alignment with industry standards.
  • Collection of participant feedback to assess effectiveness.
  • Course providers must notify ASPA of significant course updates.
